This page is here to show the H/P and T/Q gains that have been achieved with my JLT intakes on various cars. I will also show the Air/Fuel graphs for each and explain them.
First, this is a dyno test I did between my JLT RAI vs. the K&N FIPK.
2003 Mustang Cobra
2.93 SFPH DUB pulley
Bassani catted X-pipe
Bassani Cat-back
Diablo Predator
Peak gains were 12.7 RWHP and 11 RWTQ with as much as 18 RWHP @ 6200 and 18 RWTQ @ 5200.
A/F Graph for previous run.
The JLT RAI is in Blue. The A/F's are close, but the JLT is still rich in comparison to the FIPK. What this means is with tuning the JLT would have made even MORE power.
Second Dyno, same car. JLT CAI vs. K&N
Peak gains were 7 RWHP and 5 RWTQ with as much as 10 RWHP and 10 RWTQ through out the rpm range.
The JLT is in blue. This run was very rich. A tune on this would result in even more power again!
This is a comparison from stock with K&N drop in filter to JLT RAI & CAI
1999 CobraBBK throttle body
Headers
Catted X pipe and Cat back
This car gained 17 RWTQ and 16 RWHP with the install of the JLT RAI and23 RWTQ and 20 RWHP with the JLT CAI. Here's the A/F from these runs.
The JLT CAI is in blue and stock is red. Again it's richer then stock. The JLT makes horsepower, not buy leaning out you're A/F, like most CAI's. It makes it by adding more air AND fuel.
JLT CAI before and after done at same time.
2004 Mach I
Bone stock with Accel Drop in filter
This car had great gains. Peak gains were 14 RWHP and 19 RWTQ. These gains were through out the rpm range!
The JLT is in red. This car went way rich after the JLT CAI install and still made huge power. I have seen a JLT RAI on a MACH I with a custom tune gain as much as 40+ RWHP!!! A tune will help any mod.
Fifth Dyno JLT CAI vs. Densecharger
Tests were not performed on the same day, but were done on the same dyno!
2003 Cobra
2.93 pulley
Steeda catted X pipe
Steeda Cat back
Afterburner
This car gained 10 RWHP and 10 RWTQ over the 5.0 CAI shoot out winner.
The before and after test were done on the same day.
2003 Mercury Marauder
Bone stock with 30,000 miles.
This car responded very well to the increased airflow, with gains of 20 RWHP and 28 RWTQ down low between 3000 Ð 3500 rpm.
Gains were steady between 12-20 RWHP and 8-28 RWTQ!!
As you can see the JLT in blue is rich, not lean, as you would think. Great power was gained, but with a custom tune the power would be even greater!
2004 Saleen S/C S-281
This car was bone stock with the Saleen/K&N air filter.
2002 GT
Automatic Transmisson
Full Exhaust
Pulleys
MAC CAI and Chip
Test was done same day and at the same time. JLT vs. MAC CAI
Gains of 10 RWHP and 10-12 RWTQ were seen on this test.
These gains were made over the MAC intake!!
This shows the JLT in blue. The A/F did lean a bit, but still very safe, in the mid to upper 12's!
This car was a 2003 GT in bone stock trim. Before and after tests were done back to back.
This car responded very well to the new airflow!
This is the A/F from the previous graph.
As with the other GT, the A/F did lean, but to a more ideal zone! Very safe.
